Our Story

Welcome to Have Fun In Nature! We're Brian and Tiffany, nature lovers who love exploring, traveling, learning, taking photos, living simply, and helping others.

Brian and I both grew up on the east coast of the United States.  As kids we enjoyed being outside.  We explored the woods, built forts, played in the dirt, went fishing, and had a blast.  After we became adults, between family and careers, there never seemed to be enough time to Have Fun in Nature.

In 2011, we decided it was time for a change.  We packed up our car, said good-bye to our loved ones, and moved to Montana.  We were the parents of a teenager in a whole new world.  Brian and I fell in love with the area immediately and wanted to explore everywhere we could.

The two of us took some time off work to go see our families in the fall of 2016.  The trip took ten days and only allowed us about a day and half with each mom.  It was well worth it, we really enjoyed the time we had.  Brian and I knew Montana was the best place for us, but it was hard to leave our family.  There had got to be a better way.

There was! Bring our jobs and home with us wherever we go.  This would allow us to work, be in our home, enjoy nature, and give us the flexibility to help others no matter what state they are located in.  So, that was the plan.  We didn’t know how we would do it, but we knew we would make it happen.

On October 25, 2020, our future home, a 1984 motorhome, pulled into the driveway.  We spent the next ten months cleaning the inside, working on the engine/brakes/etc., and sealing the roof.  During this time, we became empty nesters and going on five years since we last saw our families.  It was time to start the dream.

We spent the following summer getting rid of nearly everything we owned.  Brian and I sold our house and moved into the motorhome full-time with our cat, Sailor.  That fall, we sold our car and hit the road the next day for our cross country journey.  We traveled 7,675 miles and hit 27 states in six and a half months.

A year and half later, the two of us were ready to hit the road again with Sailor.  Brian and I purchased a 1998 cargo van and got it ready for another trip.  This time we traveled 10,740 miles, visited 24 states, entered 9 National Parks, and explored several other Federal, State, and Local Rec Areas in five and a half months.

Brian and I really enjoy the freedom, simplicity, and joy our lifestyle gives us.  We understand this lifestyle may not be for everyone, but we can all take a day trip to a park or wooded area to enjoy the many benefits Mother Nature has to offer.  Have Fun!
